A still from one of my favorite movies

This is a still from one of my favorite movies:

[War room generals from Dr. Strangelove]

I especially like the "World Targets in Megadeaths" notebook. (Grabbed from an Accordion Guy posting, just because I like it)

I have tried to introduce a handful of people to this movie, and none of them liked it. Most failed even to watch it to the end. What is wrong with them? Pbbbbbt.

How old were they? It's possible that you have to remember the cold war to get it.

No one younger than I am. And I remember the cold war very well. I used to believe I would probably die in a nuclear holocaust. Why the communists would be targeting Mound, MN is another question. But anyway...

I think the references to "precious bodily fluids" that make me giggle uncontrollably just make other people uncomfortable. They're not sure if it's some kind of sick joke or what. It helps when you've seen the movie more than once so that you know that everyone in it is just insane. And that everyone in it is played by the same actor. :)

Huh. Maybe you're just hanging around with the wrong sort of person.
